Extended hours appointments now available
Pre-bookable appointments are now available on Monday and Wednesday evenings until 20:00. These can be booked via the Patient Portal or by calling reception. This is part of the NHS Enhanced Access initiative to improve appointment availability for working patients.

New practice nurse joins the team
We are pleased to welcome Claire Bennett as our new Practice Nurse. Claire joins us from Southmead Hospital with over 8 years of experience in chronic disease management and immunisations. She will be running clinics Monday to Thursday.

Flu and COVID-19 booster vaccinations
Autumn booster vaccinations are now available for eligible patients aged 65+, those with long-term conditions, frontline health workers, and carers. Please book via reception, the NHS App, or through our Patient Portal.

CQC inspection — rated Good
We are pleased to announce that following our recent CQC inspection on 28 November 2025, Westfield Medical Centre has been rated Good in all five domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. Patient Participation Group — new members welcome
Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) meets quarterly to discuss practice improvements and patient feedback. We are looking for new members, particularly from underrepresented groups. If you are interested, please contact reception or email westfield.mc@nhs.net.

Online prescription ordering
You can now order repeat prescriptions online through our Patient Portal. Log in, select the medications you need, and submit your request. Prescriptions will be ready for collection from your nominated pharmacy within 2 working days.
